Who we are

The Pitt Polder Preservation Society is a group of concerned citizens of diverse backgrounds, committed to the preservation and protection of the Pitt Polder (north of Pitt Meadows and Maple Ridge).

The Pitt Polder Preservation Society has actively opposed development of agricultural and ecologically sensitive areas in Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows by:

• speaking out at public hearings
• attending Official Community Plan workshops
• attending municipal council meetings and speaking out
• organizing rallies
• petitions
• press conferences
• letter writing campaigns
• attending community events with information
• working with other local and regional groups
• supporting local political candidates (who demonstrate their support for preservation of agricultural land)

The Pitt Polder Preservation Society operates with no governmental funding, grants or sponsorship. We rely solely on the generosity of concerned citizens like you.
